This week: hiring junior DevRels, lawsuit against GitHub Copilot, converting one piece of content into 10+ and more...

What happened last week

I just published the 10th issue of my newsletter🎂 I'm really proud of myself that I'm able to find time and passion for this.

I spent my last week continuing the onboarding process and enjoying my stay at the beautiful Polish sea.

Interesting links

Should we hire junior developer advocates? — dev.to

Rizèl Scarlett wrote a really amazing article about why companies should invest in junior developer advocates. I especially agree with the aspect that juniors can bring a lot of fresh air into the team.

Maybe you don’t mind if GitHub Copilot used your open-source code without asking. — githubcopilotinvestigation.com

A very interesting article about a potential lawsuit against GitHub Copilot. It's a really interesting read about how Copilot can affect open-source authors.

Turn 1 piece of dev content into 10+ — use the buffalo stick — www.jason.af

Jason wrote a very interesting article about content recycling ♻️ I loved the list of how to convert one piece of content into 10 pieces. Very useful.

A collection of Design Systems for Figma from all over the globe 🌎 — www.designsystemsforfigma.com

This is an amazing collection of design systems created and maintained in Figma. It's also an amazing way to learn how the big players are handling and storing their systems.

State of CSS — stateofcss.com

The State of CSS survey is online. Apart from the fact it will provide us with many interesting facts soon, I want to mention how amazing it looks 🤯

PatternPad - Create beautiful patterns for presentations, social media or branding. — patternpad.com

PatternPad is a really amazing tool to create beatuifull images. I used it for some backgrounds, but I can imagine that people with more skill will be able to get more of it.

WordPress Accessibility Day — wpaccessibility.day

WordPress Accessibility Day is a free 24-hour global event dedicated to Accessibility. It's more about the A11y rather than WordPress, so even if you are not a fan of WP it's worth joining it.

Also, I will be speaking there about automating A11y tests.

And how was your week? Did you learn something interesting? Don’t hesitate to press the reply button and share your thoughts.

Cheers,

Maciek
