What Happened Last Week - Issue #11
This week: Headless Statamic & Astro, headless e-commerce, TurboPack, and much more...
What happened last week
I almost did my biggest fail as a speaker. When I submitted my talk, I was sure I only submitted it for the lightning talks. I recorded it, send to the organizers and forgot about everything. Luckly, I saw that on the schedule that I have a full slot.
Of course, it was my bad - I clicked in the wrong place. All in all - I'm working on the missing 50% of my talk about A11Y Automation.
On the plus side - I got my Kinsta welcome pack and I'm really enjoying the cup. Coffee tastes much better.

Introducing Turbopack: Rust-based successor to Webpack — vercel.com
Turbopack just got announced during the NextJS Conf. Not much to tell at the moment, but it seems to be quite fast.
I will wait a moment before moving from Vite to Turbopack thought. I'm not sure if gaining 0.1 seconds per build is worth it (my projects are small and simple).
Why Frontend is the buzzword of the E-commerce revolution — www.youtube.com
I had a chance to talk with Filip Rakowski about headless e-commerce. I really learned a lot from it and I hope you'll learn something too.
The Mixed Reality of a Dev Advocate with Cami Williams — www.youtube.com
A really amazing episode with both Williams sisters. I really enjoyed listening to what is the Meta engineering team doing.
Outstatic - A Static Site CMS for Next.js — outstatic.com
A very interesting CMS built for Next.js. I really like how simple it is to add to the project. Also, I think it's the first CMS that I saw that is so inspired by Gutenberg. Nonetheless, great job Andre Vitorio.
Implementing Astro live previews in headless Statamic — maciekpalmowski.dev
Using Astro with different headless CMSs is relatively easy to achieve. The only problem is dealing with the live previews. That's why I wrote this.
Exploring the tech and people that make the web - Behind the Source — www.behindthesource.co.uk
I really love the concept and the general thought (Everyone is a junior in something) behind Mike's podcast. Worth listening.
Sign up for Developer Newsletter — vuestorefront.io
Speaking about Filip - he's launching a newsletter soon. I'm sure it will be full of goodies, so... sign-up and wait for the first issue.
