What happened last week

The end of the year is coming, which means a lot of work before the Christmas break.

There is also much planning for the next year - like booking flights to events like PHP UK and JS World. I really can’t wait for those.

You can also subscribe to my YT channel. The first stream will be about testing your PHP application. BTW - I never knew there were so many things to take care of before launching a YT channel.

Last week I played around with Sanity.io, and here is the result of my work. Using Sanity.io and Astro is a pure pleasure.

Never, Ever, Ever Use Pixelation for Redacting Text — Dan Petro

I was always making fun of all the CSI series and the way how they could zoom in and enhance everything. It seems possible to grab the original content when using pixelation to hide some text content.

Announcing SvelteKit 1.0

After two years of active development, SvelteKit finally reached 1.0. The 1.0 is a signal that SvelteKit is stable and production-ready.

Sniper Links — Dan Benoni

This is a fascinating technique to increase your confirmation rates. Underneath, it’s all about creating URLs that will filter out our email. I can really imagine it works. The only challenge is creating a great UX for guessing the user email account.

How I learn new stuff in tech — Brian Morrison II

Brain explains his approach to learning new things in technology. It’s all about recreating the same project with new technologies. I’m using a similar approach when testing headless CMSs - I’m always using the same Astro frontend and connect it with different CMSs.

Breaking Into Developer Experience: The 8 Most Common DX Roles — Kurt Kemple

Kurt explains the differences between specific roles in the Dev Experience space. If you are new to it or you are thinking about hiring such a person, you really might find this guide very useful.
