What happened last week - issue #33
This week: Cypress.io, hacking bing, Vite, Statamic and more.
What happened last week
I spent most of the week refreshing my email account to see if I got accepted at some conference where I sent my topic. Sadly, still nothing. I’m in this limbo state.
The only thing I’m sure about is that I’m going to WordCamp Europe in Athens.
On the other hand, I hoped to get my Canyon bike in April, but no. It’s postponed, and I have to wait until July.
But there is also good news - today, I’m having a stream about Cypress.io with Ramona, and I really can’t wait for it.

AAD misconfiguration led to Bing.com results manipulation and account takeover — Hillai Ben-Sasson
What can go wrong if you misconfigure Azure Active Directory? Well, you can manipulate the results of what is showing in Bing. It’s a fascinating story and an essential lesson for all of us.
In Praise of Vite — Scott Vandehey
Scott compares Webpack and Vite. You can clearly see that Webpack’s config is much longer and more complex. On the other hand, and that’s maybe just my opinion, I see Vite as a bit more “magical,” and magic in development is often the biggest cause of problems during debugging.
But I won’t lie - Vite is cool :)
You can already play around with Statamic 4.0.0 version. While it’s not revolutionary, it has many exciting changes that make working with it even more fun. I even wrote a tweet about it.
A Tale of Web Development in Two Universes — Netlify
Netlify did a really amazing advertisement. It really makes me laugh. What’s also cool is that the actors are Netlify employees.
Radicle - Roots.io
I have always admired Roots.io for bringing modern technologies into WordPress. They just released Radicle, which is a great starting point for the next WP site. If I had to describe it in one sentence, I would go with “Radicle is a child of love between Laravel and WP”.
DOM Events — Alex Reardon
Alex created a fantastic tool that helps you visualize DOM Events.
