What happened last week

This week we are having a long weekend in Poland. I decided to rest those days a bit, especially since some conferences are coming, so there won’t be too much time to take such a break.

Sadly, I also got a bit sick, making everything more complicated. Luckily I managed to cycle a bit before.

I also spent some time playing Wartales - this game is really amazing.

Oh, and my Code and Coffee Channel reached 100 followers. I never thought that anyone would want to watch and listen to me.

Interesting links

Dev-X

Lifecycle (a really interesting tool that helps to gather feedback from preview environments) has a great series of interviews with developers and DevRels. It’s really worth diving in. Also, as a bonus, I was also featured there.

Space Elevator — Neal Agarwal

This is one of the most fun websites I saw in a while. Just take a look and scroll until you reach the Kármán line.

Thank you for reading this issue of my newsletter. If you like it, don’t forget to share it with others.

Introducing storage on Vercel

Vercel just announced a suite of serverless storage solutions. It took them so quite a while to launch Redis and PostgreSQL services. What’s surprising is the fact that both PostgreSQL and Vercel Blob are partnerships with Neon and Cloudflare.

Deceptive Patterns

This website is a great place to learn about different deceptive patterns you can find all over the web. There is also an amazing Hall of Shame section.

Also, if you are into studying law, a Law section might interest you.

And talking about deceptive patterns - I think I have to use booking.com and Ryanair.

Open source is fueling the future of nuclear physics — Klint Finley

Another amazing article on the Readme Project. This time we can learn a bit about Open Source and nuclear physics. This field is quite complicated regarding OSS because some solutions could be used in weapons.

Leveraging Astro's Content Collections — Dustin Goodman

Dustin does an amazing job explaining how Astro’s Content collection work. It took me a while to try them (mostly, I’m using Astro + CMS stack), but when I finally did, I was more than happy with the experience.

And how was your week? Did you learn something interesting? Don’t hesitate to press the reply button or share your thoughts in the comment section.

Cheers,

Maciek
