What happened last week
I’m happy to see that the improvements I added to our Patchstack Discord channel are working and we already see an increase in many fields. BTW - if you want to chat a bit about security and/or development just join our server.
Apart from this, I have some great news - I will be the MC at OSDay in Florence (March 7-8). I never did something like this, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone. Also, I will have a chance to meet some of my friends there.
But before that, I’m going to Amsterdam for the JS World conference. Already can’t wait for it. Especially since there is also a small Meetup organized a day before the event by Jiří and Konstantin.
Last, but not least - I spent some more time using Astro Starlight. I do enjoy it a lot. There are some places when it’s still a bit rough around the edges (it’s a young project compared to Docusaurus) but the whole Astro vibe makes working with it a pleasure.

Statamic for WordPress developers - differences and installation — Maciek Palmowski
Finally, I published the second part of my Statamic for WP developers series. This time I’m focusing on making sure we’re all on the same page explaining the differences and similarities of both CMS. Also, I’m showing the installation process, so finally, we can start playing around with it.
jQuery 4.0.0 BETA! — Timmy Willison
This update surprised me a bit, but I must admit it looks good. jQuery is dropping support for older IE and removing some APIs. I hope that CMSs that are relying on it (WP for example) will start thinking about the update process soon.
Radical Design — Jack McDade
Jack McDade, finally, published a few videos from his Radical Design course. I always loved his style and learning how he achieves those results is very fascinating. Probably I still won’t design anything (for the sake of humanity), but I’m sure I’ll buy the final version.
Is it time to ditch MySQL and PostgreSQL for SQLite? — Nicolas Beauvais
For some reason, SQLite is often considered the worst of them all, where in reality there are many situations where it will fit your website or application better. Worth checking this article as Nicolas lists all the pros and cons.
The good, the bad, the web components — Zach Leatherman
Zach wrote a great article about Web Components. So, if want to understand how they work etc, it’s a great place to start.
Challenging the Skeptics: Unveiling the Undeniable Goodness of Tailwind CSS — Nick Taylor
A great post by Nick showing some practical usage of TailwindCSS. Some cool examples are included.
Gato GraphQL — Leonardo Losoviz
Leonardo released his Gato GraphQL plugin into the official repository. I advise you to give it a try as it has some cool features that WP GraphQL doesn’t.
Animate Code — @joshtriedcoding
Josh created something I always dreamt of. I’m horrible at writing code in a fluid manner, so apps like this are lifesavers for me.
