What happened last week
Last week I was a speaker at the Developer Week in Nurnberg and it was a blast. I’m really happy with my talk, I feel it went great. I also enjoyed Nurnberg - it’s a beautiful town. The only thing I didn’t like was the flight back home because it was late, so I was at home around 2:00 in the morning.
During the conference, I had a chance to talk with some developers about WordPress. It’s funny to learn that so many people use it, but hate it and have so many problems with it (especially caused by plugins and constant updates).
Apart from this, during the weekend I participated in the Coffee Race in Łódź. During this race, you have to visit at least 14 specialty cafes and drink at least one coffee. In my case, I visited all 17 of them, drank 3 coffees, and ate one cake. Together it was around 50km.

Use HTMX to Create Laravel Single-Page Apps Without Writing JavaScript — Nico Devs
Nico shows how to create a SPA with Laravel and HTMX. What HTMX is doing isn’t a new concept at all, but I think it’s a good approach for many apps. We don’t have have us JS+API approach everywhere just for the sake of using it.
The 5 Rules of Effective Component-Driven Development — Przemek Hernik
Przemek does an amazing job of explaining why component-driven development is the right way to go. Give it a read and try this approach. I’m also a huge fan of it. In the long term, it’s always the better approach.

Another amazing article by Marty. This time about static caching and how to clear it at the proper time.
Saloon — Sam Carré
I just learned about Saloon - it’s a library to build reusable API integrations. While I didn’t try it yet, I can’t wait to do so, because it really looks amazing and well-documented.
Running Drupal on the Edge with WebAssembly — Matt Glaman
Really cool to see that another CMS is following the way of WP Playground. Launching WP this way opened a lot of new opportunities, I hope that the Drupal community will also find some amazing use cases for it.
Morphing Arbitrary Paths in SVG — Alexandru-Gabriel Ică
This is one of those cool things I’m too stupid to understand, but that’s OK. It’s amazing to see how you can morph one SVG into another.
